Uranus - Gadara

The Planet:

Uranus, also called Gadara.

Behold, the majestic planet of Uranus, shrouded in swirling mists and icy winds. Its very atmosphere appears as a veil of mystery, hiding the secrets that lie within. But fear not, for the Alchys have forged a new world upon this planet, a shining beacon of progress in the vast expanse of space.

Gadara, the shining city of Uranus, stands tall and proud, with buildings that stretch high into the sky, reminiscent of the ancient towers of Babel and the temples of old Greece and Rome. With their mastery of science and engineering, the Alchys have tamed the wild elements of Uranus, solidifying a great part of the planet and clearing the atmosphere to reveal the wonders of their civilization.

Each edifice, from the grandest temple to the humblest abode, is built with purpose and precision, with the noble goal of expanding the mind and uplifting the soul. The Alchys believe that no knowledge should be obscured by darkness or ignorance, so their structures are designed to be seen from afar, with clear, unobstructed lines of sight that inspire the viewer to seek higher knowledge.

Gadara's temples are adorned with intricately carved facades, depicting the symbols of the Alchys' ancient wisdom. The materials used in the city's construction are not only strong and resilient, but also light and austere, reflecting the Alchys' reverence for knowledge and beauty.

Such is the splendor of Uranus, the planet where the Alchys have dared to dream and built a world where science and faith are one, a shining testament to the limitless potential of humanity's quest for knowledge.

The Gaals:

The Gaals are a faction of scholars who prefer diplomacy and dialogue over war. They are thirsty for knowledge and seek omnipotence. They can be extremely brutal when knowledge is threatened to be destroyed. The Gaals reject religions and idols, and believe in knowledge. Their libraries are their temples. They are erudite scholars who form an oligarchic gerontocratic society. Their ultimate goal is to achieve transcendence through omnipotence, and they seek to become creators of worlds. The Gaals believe that the key to transcendence lies in past experiences, and that humans already have all the keys to achieve intellectual perfection.

Their five temples, founded when humans arrived on the planet, are of prime importance to the Gaals. Each Gaal visits these temples several times a year to share their knowledge and opinions on various subjects with the leaders, who record everything in large volumes available to everyone. While the Gaals do not have a leader, the leaders of the five temples manage the governance of the faction. Gadara's ultimate goal is to gather all the knowledge of the galaxy, ancient and recent, to recreate a new Earth in a completely artificial way. Their final goal is to create a perfect system based on equity, respect, and knowledge. They would take the direction of this new Earth to ensure that the values they promote are respected.

The Gaals try to maintain good relationships with other factions and see themselves as protectors of knowledge and freedom. They adopted a policy of openness and respect for others upon their arrival and only take up arms when equity and peace are threatened, or when precious knowledge is threatened and no other diplomatic solution has been found. They are particularly close to Alkyr and maintain cordial relations with its inhabitants. They have made a kind of pact with the Alchys to share their knowledge and revive the Earth. What the Alchys do not know is that for the Gaals, the first Earth must be destroyed and recreated to symbolize the renewal of humanity, which goes against their beliefs. Relations are more tense with Triton, which they consider a danger to human evolution and peace, and whose mode of thinking they consider backward. However, it is not their intention to provoke a crusade against them.

The Gaals are not skilled fighters like Kerin but compensate with advanced technological weapons. Each physical weakness is compensated, and the Gaals responsible for protecting the temples have custom-made equipment to address their deficiencies. The Gadara army is mainly composed of soldiers who use advanced technological weapons to defend their territory.
