Mars - Isker

The Planet:

In the distant future, Mars has become a desolate and unforgiving planet. The fierce winds that whip across its barren landscape have claimed the lives of many brave explorers. But those who have managed to survive have built a civilization unlike any other.
The Martians, as they are known, have harnessed the power of the wind and the rocks to create a world that is truly unique. They live in a network of tunnels and caves that snake beneath the surface of the planet, where the constant temperature and protection from the harsh winds make for a more hospitable environment.
The Martian cities are an awe-inspiring sight to behold. Built from the remnants of spaceships that were once used to explore the planet, these structures stand tall and proud against the red sky. The Martians have even discovered a way to make their buildings stronger and more durable, by using the gases found on Jupiter to reinforce their architecture.
Despite the challenges they face, the Martians have managed to build a thriving society. They have developed advanced technologies that allow them to survive in this harsh environment, and their culture is rich and diverse. The Parleurs, who are the only beings to live on the surface of the planet, have constructed massive spherical structures that serve as their homes and places of worship.
As you gaze upon the mighty civilization that the Martians have built, you can't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe. This is a world where the impossible has become possible, and where the indomitable spirit of humanity has triumphed over even the most inhospitable of environments.
The Iskerions:
The Iskerions, a fierce and formidable people, are organized into tribes that dominate and control the less influential ones. They are a warrior society, living by the sword and raiding for survival. But their strength and skill in battle are matched only by their reverence for the legendary Téméraires, who have become symbols of strength, courage, and perseverance in the face of adversity and hostility in a new world.
With an almost cult-like devotion, many Iskerions worship the Téméraires and believe that these legendary figures still watch over them, protecting them from harm. Some Iskerions even claim to communicate with the Téméraires through auguries, and these "Parleurs" have authority even over the less religious tribes. When a Parleur dies, a great meeting is called, and all tribes are invited to propose candidates to replace the fallen leader.
But the Iskerions are not just a people of faith; they are also a people of action. Their advanced technology, which allows them to manipulate gravity through special boots, gives them incredible speed and agility on the battlefield. Their tactics are calculated, and they prefer to strike quickly and efficiently, using raids and ambushes to gain the upper hand. They are masters of the art of war, and few foes can stand against them.
However, their violent nature and tendency to settle conflicts with force make diplomatic negotiations a challenge, and they have strained relationships with many other planets. They clash with the Kerin over resources, while their relationship with the Alkyrs is neutral. They have little contact with the peace-loving Gadara and a frosty relationship with the haughty Tritons.
But despite their reputation as fierce warriors, the Iskerions have a rich and complex culture, with a strong sense of tradition and honor. Their society is hierarchical, with the Parleurs holding great power and prestige. And while they may be feared on the battlefield, they are also a people with a deep respect for the past and a reverence for their ancestral heroes. The Iskerions are a force to be reckoned with, both on the battlefield and in the halls of power.
